Welcome to Avia ("we," "us," or "our"). Avia is an AI-powered interview preparation tool designed to help job seekers practice and refine their performance through simulated mock interviews.
Important Notice: Avia is strictly intended for educational and practice purposes only. We do not encourage or endorse the use of this software during actual live job interviews. The software is designed to help you learn from your mistakes in mock settings so that you can perform confidently and independently in real interviews. If you choose to use Avia in an actual interview, you do so at your own risk and are solely responsible for any consequences or circumstances that may arise.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share your personal information when you use the Avia desktop application and website (collectively, the "Services"). Please read this policy carefully. By using Avia, you agree to the practices described below.
2Information We Collect
2.1 Information You Provide Directly
- Name and email address (used for account creation and login)
- Resume / CV content (uploaded by you for use in generating personalised interview answers)
- Job descriptions and company names (entered during session setup)
- API keys for third-party AI providers (Groq, OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini), if you choose to use your own
- Payment information such as UPI transaction IDs (processed via Cashfree; we do not store card details directly)
2.2 Information Collected Automatically During Sessions
When you run a live interview session using Avia, the application captures the following data to deliver its core functionality:
- Live audio from your microphone (your voice as the candidate)
- System audio from your computer (interviewer's voice via speakers or meeting app)
- Real-time transcripts generated from the above audio
- AI-generated answers, chat messages, and screen analysis results produced during the session
- Session metadata: start time, end time, interview type, coin usage, and session status
- Screenshots of your screen captured on demand when you trigger the "Analyze Screen" feature
Important: Audio data is streamed in real time to Deepgram for transcription. Audio is not stored permanently by Avia after transcription is complete. Transcript text is stored in your account on our Supabase-hosted database.
3How We Use Your Information
- Provide, operate, and improve the Avia desktop application and website
- Deliver real-time transcription by routing audio to Deepgram
- Generate AI-powered interview answers by routing context to AI providers (Groq, OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini)
- Authenticate your account and keep it secure
- Process coin purchases and manage your coin balance
- Send transactional emails (e.g., payment confirmation, password reset)
- Troubleshoot bugs and improve product reliability
- Comply with applicable laws and enforce our Terms and Conditions
4Third-Party Services and Data Sharing
Avia integrates with the following third-party services that may process your data. Each is governed by its own privacy policy:
- Speech-to-Text: Deepgram — Your live audio is streamed to Deepgram for real-time speech recognition.
- AI Generation: Groq, OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini — When you trigger an AI answer, your resume, job description, and transcript excerpt are sent to the active AI provider.
- Backend: Supabase — Used to host our database and authentication.
- Payments: Cashfree — Processes UPI and card payments.
We do not sell your personal data to any third party, ever.
5Data Retention & Security
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. Session transcripts and resumes are retained until you delete them or close your account. We implement OS-level encryption for your authentication token and Row-Level Security on our database to ensure only you can access your data.
